A person (not a Christian) with whom I was visiting about the Christian faith said to me,
“I guess I’ll just take my chances with hell.”
I lovingly and respectfully shared with that person,
“Please understand your worldview is every bit as much of a faith-worldview as mine. In other words, you are exercising a great deal of faith by rejecting the Bible being true.“
Referring to hell, the author of Hebrews warned,
“we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience [heaven.]” And, “It is a fearful and terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God [incurring His judgment and wrath].” 4:1; 10:31
If you’ve never investigated the claims of Christ, I would humbly and respectfully plead with you to do so. I have. And, personally, I don’t have enough faith to reject the Bible being true.
Former atheist, Lee Strobel, put it best:
“To continue in atheism (or any worldview that rejects the God of the Bible), I’d need to believe nothing produces everything, non-life produces life, randomness produces fine-tuning, chaos produces information, unconsciousness produces consciousness, and non-reason produces reason. I just didn’t have that much faith.”
Jesus loves you.
If you’ve got questions about Christ, I would be honored to visit with you about him.
